Sewage Treatment Plant

Sewage treatment plants receive all waste water from a property. Storm water must be excluded to prevent excessive flow during wet weather.  
 
Unlike a septic tank a sewage treatment plant does not rely on a soakaway as part of the filtration process. The treated effluent meets Environment Agency standards and therefore can be discharged directly into a water course - stream - ditch - river - high level soakaway.  
 
Independent Drainage care able to convert existing septic tanks/cess pits into a sewage treatment plant avoiding invasive and expensive groundworks.
